Over the weekend, Emmanuel College completed its fourth annual Dance Marathon with a bang! Students crushed the already-huge fundraising goal of $72,000 with a grand total of $89,232.25. That brings Emmanuel’s four-year total to more than $217,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital! What a difference each year makes!

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students at more than 250 schools, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. The goal is for students to spend a year learning leadership and life skills while raising funds and interacting with children’s hospital patients and families. The year culminates with a 12-hour-long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment in celebration of the total amount raised that year.

Why stay on your feet? Because “We dance for those who can’t.”
